Book Club Upcoming Selections!

Hello sisters!

Last night the book club met again to discuss our previous read, What Alice Forgot.  Everyone enjoyed the book greatly!

We also met to discuss future selections and get a calendar going.  Generally, we will meet the LAST Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM.  If we are deviating from that date, you'll be told so specifically.  So here is a line-up of our next meeting dates and book selections!  Please come whenever you can and would like - we're always open for new readers in the group!

*  September 25th at 5:30 PM at member Lydia's home - A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick (here on Amazon.com)

*  October 30th at 5:30 PM at member Brenda's home - One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd by Jim Fergus (here on Amazon.com)

* November 27th at 5:30 PM at Amanda Haas' home  - City of Women by David R. Gillham (here on Amazon.com)
Note: We will also be having a fun holiday "BOOK EXCHANGE" at this meeting!  See details below.

* NO MEETING FOR DECEMBER because of the Holidays.

* January 29th at 5:30 PM, location TBA - Midwives by Chris Bohjalian (here on Amazon.com)

* February 26th at 5:30 PM - Location TBA - The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman (here on Amazon.com)

On our November 27th meeting we will be having a fun holiday Book Exchange!  Find a book that you own, that you've read and loved, and wrap it up and bring to the meeting.  We will then draw numbers to pick "new" books to read over the holidays!  (If you want your book back when the new reader is finished, simply put your name in the front or leave a note on a bookmark.  If you want to truly "gift" the book, that's great too!)

Please be on the lookout for an email with details of the locations of each of these meetings.  If you do not receive our book club emails but would like to, please email us at AXOAlumnaeWichita@gmail.com.

We hope this group inspires you to read new things and perhaps reignite a passion for reading!  Hope to see many of you at our upcoming meetings!

Loyally,
Amanda Haas
Chapter President
